My Story

Once upon a time, in the bustling location of Hessle, East Yorkshire, there lived a passionate and dedicated HR professional named Jodi. With years of experience working in various industries in senior HR roles, and a heart full of ambition, Jodi embarked on a mission to make a difference in the world of HR.

Driven by her belief that every organisation deserves personalised compassionate HR support, Jodi founded her own consulting firm, aptly named 'Enablement HR'. As a solo HR consultant, Jodi set out to be more than just an advisor - she wanted to be a trusted partner and advocate for her clients.

Jodi's journey began with a deep commitment to understanding the unique needs and challenges of each organisation she served. Whether it was a small startup striving to build its dream team or an established corporation navigating complex HR issues, Jodi was there every step of the way, offering tailored solutions and unwavering support.

But it wasn't just about solving HR challenges or Jodi - it was about building lasting relationships based on trust, integrity, and genuine care.

Today, Jodi continues to be the beacon of hope and guidance for organisations seeking to unlock their full potential through effective HR practices. With a smile on her face and a passion in her heart, she looks forward to each new opportunity to make a positive difference in the world - one solution at a time.

Meet Jodi: Your Trusted HR Partner

Jodi began her career in the Royal Navy in 2015 as a Human Resources Generalist. She quickly established herself as an operational HR professional, conducting senior stakeholder meetings, supporting HR initiatives, and rolling out a new performance management process, among other things. After taking a small break from her career due to the birth of her two children, she started working as a HR professional in civilian roles. Her first role was in a food manufacturing company where she provided HR advisory support. She then moved on to a more strategic HR role in facilities management, where she was mostly standalone for over 550 employees. During her time in facilities management, Jodi tackled both operational and strategic HR challenges, including people management, change management, employee relations, compliance, learning and development, workforce planning, organizational design, absence management, and managing the relationship with trade unions. Prior to starting her own HR consultancy as Managing Director of Enablement HR, Jodi worked in the healthcare industry, where she was responsible for strategic leadership, talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR compliance, HR analytics, organisational design, and the implementation of a new HR Information System (HRIS).
